A World Dark and Cold (A Collection of Short Stories and Essays

A World Dark and Cold is a collection of six short stories by author M.H. Lee about characters struggling to survive in an indifferent future. From a teenage surrogate who isn't allowed to speak to a paramedic forced to deny treatment to victims of "Darwin Events" the stories explore a dark future where resources are limited and hard choices have to be made. Each story is accompanied by an essay inspired by the story covering topics such as how far would you go to save someone you love, the two different types of risk-takers, and the pervasiveness of terminal illness.
