Manhunt

Manhunt is a modern riff on the private-eye novel. It’s set in Los Angeles and concerns Nick Chapel a former LAPD Detective who now works as a screenwriter. Life is good, and the last thing Nick wants is to be involved with is a murder investigation, but when his former partner asks for his help, he can’t refuse. 
Beautiful actresses are being abducted and murdered by a killer the media have dubbed the Starlet Stalker. The killer takes a body part from each victim with the macabre goal of assembling them into a perfect woman. Complicating the investigation is the national attention the case receives from the serial killer reality show “Manhunt” (think “Cops” for Homicide Detectives. Nick reluctantly helps on the case and along the way there is action, showbiz insider humor, and a little sex - all of which lead Nick to find a sense of purpose he thought he'd lost years ago.
