On The Lord’s Pillow portrays a boy and his immigrant parents struggling to succeed in a strange new country. Seen through the boy’s innocent eyes, the ten stories include his parents’ battle with a baffling language and elemental approaches to dealing with injustice. They experience painful setbacks, but through perseverance, joyful breakthroughs as well.
